ULU's sports clubs and societies are open to all University of London students and complement college-run activities.  Our sports clubs reflect the popularity of the ULU League and Cup programme.

If you compete for your college, the ULU League Representative Sports Clubs provide a higher level of competition for elite student athletes, alongside your regular college participation.  ULU's Small and Specialist College Clubs are intended to pool resources and students from within these institutes can enter a team into the leagues.

If your preferred activity is not offered by your college and there is no ULU League for you to participate in then you can join, or set up, a ULU Niche Sports Club.  All sports clubs, societies and networks at ULU are student led and student run and trianing is provided.  

ULU runs Inter-Collegiate Leagues and Cup tournaments, comprimising of 38 leagues, varying from water polo to nine different football leagues and 21 Cup tournaments and we are always looking to expand.

Academic achievement surely plays an important part of your education, but to underestimate the benefits of getting involved in student activities, whether be it competitive or recreational, would be to ultimately miss out on getting the best out of your time at university. And with over 20 societies and 26 sports to choose from you are sure to find something to suit your taste! Also giving you the chance to interact with fellow University of London students from different colleges. It is this inter-collegiality I am keen to promote.

ULU already plays an important role in this by coordinating and developing 38 leagues in 10 sports that sees the interaction through competition between the students in different colleges within the Central University.

At ULU I am responsible for the overall provision and development of student activities, as well as representing student views in external and internal committees, so if you have any questions, ideas or want to get involved by joining or setting up a new club/society do get in touch, I will be looking forward to hear from you!
