Webtel.mobi allows you to connect any two national or international landline or mobile numbers from the internet. In this way you get the benefit of low cost internet based telephony services with the added convenience of a normal telephone call.

How do I make a call from my mobile using Webtel.mobi?

Making a call with our low cost services is easy. You will first need to create an account the first time you visit. It's free and all you need is a mobile phone. You can now log in to Webtel.mobi on your mobile phone. Before you can make a call, you will need to buy credit through our simple payment gateway. Now simply enter your phone's number, the number you're calling and click Call. Your phone will ring first – answer it. The phone you are calling will now ring. When they pick up, you're connected!

How do I send a text from my mobile using Webtel.mobi?

Sending a text with our low cost services is easy. You will first need to create an account the first time you visit. It's free and all you need is a mobile phone. You can now log in to Webtel.mobi on your mobile phone. Before you can text, you will need to buy credit through our simple payment gateway. Enter your phone's number, the number you're messagingand click Text. If you've already verified your mobile phone number, that's it! Message sent.

How do I verify my mobile number?

You will first need to create an account the first time you visit. It's free and all you need is a mobile phone. You can now log in to Webtel.mobi on your mobile phone. Before you can verify your number, you will need to buy credit through our simple payment gateway. The first time you send an text / SMS you will be asked to verify mobile phone's number. We will send a text message to your mobile. The message will contain a verification code. Webtel.mobi will ask you to enter the verification code in the text message. Enter the correct code. Your number is now verified.

Why would I want to verify my mobile number?

Verifying your mobile number personalises your text / SMS messages for the recipients. Once we have verified your number, your mobile number will be displayed on the recipients mobile and they will then be able to reply to you directly.

Can I verify more than one mobile number?

Yes, you can verify as many numbers as you like. This gives you the flexibility of being able to set up numbers in as many countries as you like.

How do I buy credit on Webtel.mobi?

1) If you already have a PayPal account

Log in to Webtel.mobi on your mobile phone. Click on the Buy link on any page. You can now choose to buy phone or text credit in the following denominations - €5, €10, €15, €20, €30, €40 and €50. You then will be referred to our convenient PayPal payment process. Log into your PayPal account and accept the transaction. You will be returned to the Webtel.mobi website.

2) If you do not already have a PayPal account

Go to the 'Buy credit' page on www.webtel.mobi/pc (this site). Enter your webtel.mobi username and password, and the amount of phone and text credit you require. You then will be referred to our convenient PayPal payment process, where you can pay by credit card, or create a PayPal account to speed up payment next time.

I have a WAP 1 phone. Why can't I top up my account from my mobile?

Some countries are not supported by PayPal mobile (click here for a list of supported countries). If you are not in a country supported by PayPal mobile, please go to the "Buy Credit" page on the separate desktop URL http://www.webtel.mobi/pc from a desktop computer. We have placed the standard PayPal there which you can login to, and top up your account from there.

When doing this, please make sure to go to http://www.webtel.mobi/pc from your desktop, and not to http://www.webtel.mobi

I have joined and placed credit on my phone, but now cannot login to my account from the phone. Why not and what do I do?

This can either be because you have not entered your password correctly (it is case-sensitive), or because your phone's cookie cache may be interfering

Please check carefully that you are entering your password correctly, and clear the caches on your phone's browser. Log in again. This should resolve the problem.

Is my conversation secured when I use Webtel.mobi?

Webtel.mobi connects the calls through the same networks that you would use if you made a ordinary phone call. A Webtel.mobi initiated call is therefore as secure as your everyday calls.

Can I use Webtel.mobi when I travel?

Yes. You can use Webtel.mobi anywhere in the world, as long as you have a mobile phone. Our unique service also allows you to register more than one mobile number. You can therefore have many mobile numbers associated with your account as you need.

For roaming calls, your operator will charge for the cost of an incoming roaming call (substantially less than the cost of an outgoing roaming call!)

No. Webtel.mobi does not require you to download any specialised software and therefore there is no risk of any virus or spyware infection.

Can I call and text any numbers?

You can call and text any standard numbers. Premium Rate numbers and any other non-standard numbers cannot be called or texted from webtel.mobi.

Will my calls always be connected?

You calls will always be connected unless you call a Premium Rate number, an incorrectly entered number, a non-standard number; or if the mobile networks in the country you are calling are overloaded (which affects standard mobile calls too). In such cases, your call will not be connected.
