There are lots of artists materials suppliers, here are a few:

  • Cass Art - stores in Islington, Charing Cross, Soho and Kensington. Here is a list with maps.
  • London Graphic Centre - stores in Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Road, Clerkenwell and Putney. Here is a list with maps. 
  • UCL shop - a stone's throw from UCL has a range of artists materials. It is indicated by the basket in C3 of this map.

 

LONDON GALLERIES

London is a huge artistic and cultural centre. Many galleries are free of charge. Here is a map of the main galleries.

  • The Courtauld Galleries - 149 Strand, London, Westminster, WC2R. Nearest tube Temple. 10:00-18:00 daily. Admission free to full-time students, £5/£4 Adults/Concessions.
  • The Photographers' Gallery - 16 - 18 Ramillies St, London, W1F 7LW. Nearest tube Oxford Circus. Mon: closed, Tues, Wed, Sat: 11:00-18:00 Thurs/Fri: 11:00-18:00 Sun: 12:00–18:00. Admission free.
  • Serpentine Gallery - Hyde Park, 10:00-18:00 daily, admission free.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • Simon Tolhurst - Simon is a professional artist and has been the life drawing tutor at our classes since the 1990s. He has had his work exhibited in a number of galleries, most recently in none other than the Saatchi Gallery. You can also see some of his pieces on display in ULU.
